Dear Friends:
Mid-September rundown!

Sept. 19, Monday. 1PM at UP CIS, Palma Hall Annex.
UP Arirang AKLE. “Korea, Yesterday and Today”
South Korea managed to overcome the poverty after the Korean War and became one of the developed countries in the world. In particular, there was “새마을운동(New town campaign)” in nationwide in 1960~70s which made reconstructing Korea possible. Thus, the lecture will introduce the case of Korea and examine the potential development of Philippine economy. The keynote of this lecture is primarily the “Transformation”, the basis in economic growth. The lecturer will also introduce you ‘Canaan Farmers Training Center Foundation Phils., Inc.’ in the city of San Fernando, Pampanga with the vision of overcoming poverty and improving the quality of life through spiritual reform. The center trains all sorts of people in the Philippines as well as develops the model for Community Development and the self-reliant farm.
This will be educational and fun at the same time, I swear!
